The following link will direct you to a virtual panel I hosted on Zoom along with the ladies of the CROWN Campaign. The women leading this campaign and the core team experts are Dr. Bernice B. Rumala, Shemekka Ebony, MS, Dr. Manka Nkimbeng, and Crystal Richardson. The panel, “The Deeper Than Hair Conversation” was a discussion surrounding the inequities, microaggressions, and disparities women of color face due to their natural hair. The event was the inaugural session under CROWN Campaign’s Deeper Than Hair series, which will be a recurring series of events throughout the year. This event was promoted on social media channels to increase engagement. We had about 12 people attend the panel, including founder of Curls on The Block, Analise Harris, and Megan Green of MVG Naturals and the CROWN Workshop.
